ABOUT ST JOSEPH’S:St Joseph’s Special Assistance School offers an inclusive and non-discriminating learning community to young people, who for a variety of reasons, make the choice to attend a specialised learning environment. St Joseph’s operates across multiple campuses, located in North Melbourne, Geelong, Colac, and a new campus opening in Ballarat in 2024. The young people who attend have typically experienced one or more significant and complex educational, social, developmental, psychological, health, legal or familial situations which demand unique responses. Such interventions are embedded within the principles of operation which combine education with an understanding of trauma-informed practice. The Colac campus opened in January 2023 and has a total enrolment of 60 young people. It is anticipated that the school will complete a capital project in the coming years to enable the site to accommodate more young people. ABOUT THE ROLE:An exciting opportunity exists to lead the Colac campus of St Joseph’s Special Assistance School, commencing in Term 4 2023 or later by negotiation.As Campus Principal, you will have delegated responsibility for the day-to-day management and leadership of the campus and any outreach services related to the campus. You will lead a team of professional and dedicated teaching staff, youth workers and support staff who are committed to providing educational pathways for young people who have been disenfranchised from mainstream education.This is an outstanding career opportunity to take the next step in your leadership journey.
