We have schools in every Australian state and territory. EREA offers a Liberating Education, based on a Gospel Spirituality, within an Inclusive Community committed to Justice and Solidarity. ABOUT THE ROLE:Reporting to the Chief Risk Officer, this newly created role is responsible for evolving EREA’s Enterprise Risk Management Framework (ERMF) and embedding it within the organisation. This will be achieved by providing the Board, Executive Management Team and School Leadership Teams with regular reporting on EREA’s risk profile and analytical insights that allow operational decisions to be made.It is preferable that you will be based in our Melbourne office. A hybrid working model is available under our Flexible Work Arrangements Policy and it is expected that you will travel approximately 10% of the time to all states and territories. The key responsibilities include:Cyclical tracking and reporting on EREA’s risk profile, risk trends and controls, in particular child safety in EREA schoolsCommunicating insights to relevant stakeholdersQuantifying and analysing the impact of any changes on EREA’s risk profile or risk appetiteManaging the performance dashboards and continually looking for methods of improvementDeveloping data visualisation systems to identify emerging risks at all levels of the organisationProviding high-level technological support and determining the cause of user issues and helping to resolve those issues in relation to the organisation’s compliance, policy and assurance systems.Partnering with the GRC system provider to implement and deploy changes to the reporting pipelineRegularly monitoring key risk processes (eg incident reporting) and reporting on their performance to determine whether they are fit for purposeAssisting with updating policies, procedures, and training material relevant for risk management and complianceWorking collaboratively with colleagues to demonstrably improve performance and processes within the scope of their roleChampioning self-serve reporting and analysis through actively sharing knowledge with risk and compliance staff in EREA schools ABOUT YOU:To succeed in the role you will have:Relevant tertiary qualifications in IT, Business/Commerce, Management or a related disciplineExperience and understanding of compliance, risk management, policy systems and processes and business analytical toolsSolid grasp of data analysis and performance metricsInitiative to help identify, solve problems and escalate issuesKnowledge of relevant regulatory obligationsExcellent communication skills and the ability to translate findings to a variety of stakeholdersStrong attention to detailThe ability to work independently and collaborativelyUnderstanding of and commitment to the values of Catholic educational system of schools in the Edmund Rice traditionA commitment to the ongoing and proactive protection and safeguarding of children, young people and adults at risk of abuse Please see the Position Description for further details about the role.  WHAT WE OFFER:Our people are our most valuable asset in providing a quality Catholic education in the Edmund Rice tradition to the young people in our schools.
