You will be responsible for promoting and supporting the maintenance of a strong culture of risk awareness and compliance management in all Victorian schools.A hybrid working model is available under our Flexible Work Arrangements Policy and it is expected that you will travel up to 10% of the time to other states and territories. The key responsibilities include:Applying EREA’s integrated risk framework to identify, analyse, monitor and report risks at the Victorian schools’ levelConducting assurance activities to assess Victorian schools’ compliance with frameworks, regulation, and policiesIdentifying and escalating compliance issues and breaches by the Victorian schoolsDeveloping risk analysis and compliance reports in the expected formats for different stakeholder groupsKeeping up to date with changing legislation and standards impacting EREA Victorian schools and support schools to take the necessary steps to maintain complianceProviding support to and educating staff to identify, analyse and manage risks to help facilitate the promotion of a strong culture of risk and compliance awareness and management across EREAWorking collaboratively with Risk & Compliance directorate colleagues and school based Risk & Compliance staff to demonstrably improve risk management and compliance performance and develop best practice approaches ABOUT YOU:To succeed in the role you will have:Relevant qualifications and experience in Law, Business/Commerce, Risk Management and/or a related disciplineA strong understanding of the compliance environments in which EREA operatesA strong understanding of school risk and compliance management frameworks, practices, and reporting systemsKnowledge of relevant regulatory obligationsExperience operating the CompliSpace platform is an assetExcellent communication and ability to influenceStrong attention to detailAbility to work independently and collaborativelyUnderstanding of and commitment to the values of Catholic educational system of schools in the Edmund Rice traditionA commitment to the ongoing and proactive protection and safeguarding of children, young people and adults at risk of abuse Please see the Position Description for further details about the role.  WHAT WE OFFER:Our people are our most valuable asset in providing a quality Catholic education in the Edmund Rice tradition to the young people in our schools.
